The visit rounded off a successful and busy week of Parliamentary recess.
Matt Vickers MP was invited to speak to upper and lower sixth form students at Yarm School this afternoon to discuss all things politics, Westminster, the role of an MP and what priorities they had as young people.
Students also engaged in a Q&A session with Matt, putting questions forward regarding day-to-day parliamentary matters, the role of the Speaker, international politics and the upcoming Tees Valley Mayoral Elections.
Matt Vickers MP said:
It was great to see so many of our young minds invested in current events, with many insightful questions to match.
With an impressive cohort of students, their enthusiasm and willingness to explore current events and political matters ensure they will have a bright future.
