Matt Vickers MP invited local Stockton College student Amelia Salisbury to 10 Downing Street's Local Skills Champions reception last Wednesday (October 25th) to highlight Amelia's incredible achievement as T-Level Student of the Year.
Born and raised in Stockton, Amelia is in her second year of sixth form at Stockton Riverside College and is studying towards a T-level Diploma in Early Years. Amelia was accompanied by Riverside College Principal Lesley Graham as she was congratulated for her achievements by Education Secretary Gillian Keegan MP.
Secretary of State for Education, Rt Hon Gillian Keegan MP said:

It was fantastic to celebrate the brilliant work going on across the country to develop the skills our local communities need to grow the economy. It was wonderful to meet providers, businesses and those doing T Levels and apprenticeships at Downing Street."
