Have Your Say on Levelling Up Yarm & Eaglescliffe

I'm delighted to inform you that we have secured £20 million to spend in Yarm and Eaglescliffe from the Government's Levelling Up fund. Myself and local councillor, Dan Fagan, want to get your view on how this should be spent and give you a say in shaping the shovel-ready suggestions put forward by the local authority.

The Council have already put forward a bid suggesting where this can be spent improving Yarm Town Centre and Preston Park, as well as adding a number of cycle routes across the area.

This comes in addition to the £15 million already secured to improve Eaglescliffe Station and I'm pushing for more services from both Eaglescliffe and Yarm Stations. We are currently seeing improvements to the A19 and have gained funding to improve the A66 so as to help keep Teesside moving.

I want to know how you think this £20 million should be spent to improve our area.

Matt secured funding from the Chancellor to improve Eaglescliffe Station. A £15m upgrade will create a new road access from Durham Lane, add 120 parking spaces and improve disabled/pushchair access. How beneficial do you feel this is?
