Matt Vickers, MP for Stockton South, condemns Labour as “woefully out-of-touch with Britain” following attempts by Labour MPs to stop a flight deporting 50 foreign criminals, including two child rapists and a murderer.
The Home Office is attempting to deport up to 50 Jamaican nationals today. Amongst them are a murderer and two child rapists.
Labour MPs, including Diane Abbott, Bell Ribeiro-Addy and Claudia Webbe, have said that the flights are “discriminatory and disproportionate”, whilst the Home Office has stated that it made “no apology for seeking to remove dangerous foreign criminals and those with no right to remain in the UK”.
Mr Vickers said:
“If Labour tried as hard to represent the interests of their constituents as they do to those of child rapists then they might have stood a chance in the last General Election.
“The majority of people in this country fully stand by the Home Office’s decision to remove criminals who pose a danger to people in this country. I am completely baffled as to why Labour politicians are so eager to keep murderers and child rapists in Britain.
“Labour prove time and time again that they are the party of anarchy and chaos, not one of law and order. The modern-day Labour Party is woefully out-of-touch with Britain.”
