On Friday, 24 March, Matt Vickers MP held a Crime and Anti-social Behaviour Surgery in Thornaby as an opportunity for residents to raise their individual concerns around local policing and law enforcement.
Speaking after the event, Matt Vickers said:
“The day was incredibly useful for bringing issues to the attention of the council and the police and I’m hopeful that we can resolve many of the issues blighting your day-to-day life.
“Thank you to Cleveland’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Steve Turner and the local enforcement team who joined me.
“It was a great opportunity for me to sit down with you, my constituents, face to face, and for you to raise any issues you are having with crime and anti-social behaviour in your area, be that anti-social youngsters, off road bikes or burglary and theft.
“A number of action points were taken home by the council, and I’ll be following these up.”
As resource is allocated based on the reports of crime, the police continue to push messaging ensuring you report everything directly to them, and not for example through commenting on Facebook.
The recently launched COPA App means it is now even easier to report crime. Visit Cleveland Police website to lean more and download.
